The Bible is a pretty amazing book. On the outside, to the one who reads an excerpt for the first time, it can appear hard, bitter, and maybe even a little unloving. But that is just the Outer. The Inner properties, though, are much more lovely for those who happen to find them.
This old Bible was salvaged from my mother’s attic. Several sections of pages had come loose from the binding. The edges of the cover are brittle and cracked in a few places. It really has no future potential for being read. It is my ideal book for carving.
